SCANDIC FLY, as a brand under the LEGIER Beteiligungs mbH brand alliance, attaches great importance to digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are committed to providing all users with an inclusive online experience, in full compliance with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and all relevant accessibility standards. These include EN 301 549, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as well as the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the Accessibility Strengthening Regulation (BFSGV) issued on its basis. Our goal is to make our digital services easily usable and understandable for everyone.

Scope of this Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the services under the BFSG offered by SCANDIC FLY, as a brand under the LEGIER Beteiligungs mbH AG, on the website www.ScandicFly.Aero. It was created on 24 June 2025 and will be reviewed and updated as needed.

Description of the Service

SCANDIC FLY, as a brand under the LEGIER Beteiligungs mbH AG, is a private jet charter broker. Our service, within the meaning of the BFSG, consists of providing consumers, via electronic communication channels—particularly websites and mobile applications—the ability to book flights and travel-related services, obtain travel information, manage customer data, and use additional services such as seat selection, baggage options, or check-in.

SCANDIC FLY, as a brand under the LEGIER Beteiligungs mbH, offers these services on behalf of other airlines.

Detailed information about the respective flight offers and services can be found on the websites of SCANDIC FLY, as a brand under the LEGIER Beteiligungs mbH, for example at www.ScandicFly.Aero. Explanations of the offered services are also available there.

Descriptions and Explanations

Before booking a flight via our websites or mobile applications, consumers can first obtain information about flight connections, fare options, and additional services. After selecting the desired connection and entering travel details, a personalized flight offer is displayed. This includes, among other things, the total price, possible baggage options, and additional services such as seat reservation or rebooking options.

The booking is finalized by clicking the “Book Now” button. Subsequently, consumers receive a booking confirmation via email and access to their travel data in their customer account or via the app.

Detailed information about travel procedures, baggage regulations, check-in processes, and other services can be found on our website at www.ScandicFly.Aero. Initial content in Easy Read format is also available there. Additional accessible offers, for example for people with limited mobility or sensory impairments, are also described there.

Measures to Support Accessibility

To ensure compliance with the requirements of the BFSG and related accessibility standards, SCANDIC FLY continuously implements the following measures:

  1. Audits: We regularly conduct both automated and manual accessibility audits to systematically check our digital offerings for compliance with WCAG 2.1, Level AA, and EN 301 549 requirements. These audits help us identify and eliminate potential barriers.
  2. Training: We provide ongoing and comprehensive training to our content managers, designers, and developers. This ensures they are familiar with best practices for accessibility and can consider these principles at every stage of content creation and development.
  3. Integration into the Development Cycle: Accessibility is integrated into the lifecycle of our software development. From initial design and planning to testing and deployment, a “Born Accessible” approach is followed wherever possible.
  4. Specialized Accessibility Team: We have a dedicated team responsible for monitoring and promoting digital accessibility initiatives on our digital platforms.

Compliance Status

Based on our most recent evaluation, the website www.ScandicFly.Aero is partially compliant with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and the European Standard EN 301 549, as referenced in the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG). This means that significant parts of the website already meet the relevant digital accessibility requirements, but some areas still require improvement to achieve full compliance. We are actively working to eliminate these remaining barriers.

Accessibility Testing and Evaluation

As part of our ongoing compliance process, the website www.ScandicFly.Aero has been comprehensively evaluated by our accessibility experts based on the four core principles of digital accessibility (“POUR”):

  • Perceivable: Checking the use of alternative texts for non-text content, providing text-based alternatives for multimedia content (e.g., subtitles, transcripts), ensuring sufficient color contrast to improve readability, and adaptability of presentation without loss of information or structure.
  • Operable: Analyzing keyboard accessibility to ensure all interactive elements are accessible and usable via keyboard alone, effective focus management for users of assistive technologies, and appropriate control of time-dependent content.
  • Understandable: Checking clear and meaningful page titles, a logically structured heading hierarchy for easy navigation, consistent navigation mechanisms, and effective input assistance to help users avoid and correct errors.
  • Robust: Ensuring compatibility with a variety of assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, magnification software) and adherence to semantic HTML structures to ensure reliable machine interpretation of content.

In addition to our internal processes, our website has been reviewed by external accessibility experts. We also regularly test our website in collaboration with people with disabilities to identify barriers.

Identified Accessibility Issues

Despite significant efforts to make the website accessible, we have identified that the following content and functional areas may not yet be fully accessible. We are actively working to address these deficiencies:

  • Missing Alternative Text: Some images lack appropriate alternative text descriptions. We are reviewing and updating image descriptions.
  • Inadequate Heading Hierarchy: Headings are sometimes skipped or not logically arranged. We are working on a consistent, semantic heading structure.
  • Non-Descriptive Links: Links such as “Click here” or “More” are unclear. We are replacing them with descriptive link texts.
  • Complex Forms and Interactive Elements: Some forms or interactive elements may be difficult to use with keyboards or screen readers. We are optimizing these for better accessibility.
  • Third-Party Content: Embedded third-party tools may not fully meet our standards. We are striving to provide accessible alternatives wherever possible.
  • PDF Documents: Some PDF files may not be fully accessible. We are reviewing these and replacing or labeling them as necessary.
  • Videos Without Subtitles: Not all videos have subtitles or transcripts. We are working to add subtitles to improve comprehension.
  • Session Timeouts: For security reasons, session timeouts cannot always be extended. We are striving for an appropriate balance between usability and security.

A comprehensive plan to address the identified issues has been initiated, which will enable timely resolution. Accessibility improvements will be gradually introduced across the platform once they have been completed and thoroughly tested.
